Priests in Queensland compelled to report abuse

Priests in Queensland under legislation introduced in Queensland in 2019 will be compelled to report information of child sexual abuse made in confession to authorities. This comes in line with other professions/individuals such as public school teachers, doctors, nurses, childcare workers and school principals who are already compelled to report such abuse to authorities.
