Brother Wilfred de Cruz
Brother Wilfred de Cruz was a member of the De La Salle Brothers who taught at De La Salle College Scarborough (now known as Southern Cross Catholic College) in Scarborough/Redcliffe, Queensland.
It has been alleged that Brother de Cruz was abusing students aged between 11 to 15 at De La Salle College during the 1970s and 1980s. Furthermore, it has been alleged that the De La Salle hierarchy knew of Brother de Cruz’s behaviour as they had been reported to Monsignor Bartholomew Frawley who was the parish priest in charge of the Scarborough/Redcliffe region at the time. Monsignor Frawley was also the most senior De La Salle church official associated with De La Salle College Scarborough.
Moody Law has in the past represented and is still representing clients who were sexually abused by members of the De La Salle Brothers at various schools and institutions around Australia.
