Brother Brett Anthony O’Connor

Brother Brett Anthony O’Connor (born 22 February 1963), who was known as Brother Brett, was a former member of the Marist Brothers who taught at the following two schools in Sydney in the late 1980s:

Brother O’Connor left the Marist Brothers to become Director of Child Safety for Education Queensland. In 2015, Brother O'Connor was charged by NSW Police with child-sex offences relating to the between 1987 to 1989 when he was dorm master at the schools above. The charges included 18 charges dealing with sexual intercourse without consent and indecently assaulting three 12 year old boys. O'Connor pleaded not guilty to the charges in the Downing District Court in Sydney, NSW.
