Marcellin College Randwick

Marcellin College Randwick is an independent systemic Roman Catholic single-sex secondary day school for boys, located in Randwick, a south-eastern suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Conducted by the Marist Brothers and founded in 1923, Marcellin College is a school of the Archdiocese of Sydney, and currently caters for approximately 962 students from Years 7 to 12.

The College has been associated with accusations of child sexual abuse, especially with the activities of Brother John Chute (aka Brother Kostka) who was principal at the College between 1959 to 1960. In 2014, The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse heard allegations of child sexual abuse committed by Brother Kostka against two students at the College. Brother Kostka is a serial offender who has been charged and convicted for numerous offences involving child sexual abuse in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
