Fullerton Cottage, Myrtle Bank
Fullerton Cottage was a cottage home established by the former Department of Social Welfare and Aboriginal Affairs in South Australia in 1970. The cottage was located at Myrtle Bank in Adelaide, South Australia. In 1979, the cottage became known as the Youth Therapy Unit.
Fullerton Cottage was categorised as a small group care residence, accommodating up to six children between the ages of seven and 16. Like many other government institutions in South Australia, the Children in State Care Inquiry between 2004 to 2008 heard from witnesses who made allegations of being sexually abused while residing at Fullerton Cottage.
Moody Law has in the past represented and is still representing clients who were physically and sexually abused at institutions owned by the State of South Australia.
We invite former victims to tell us confidentially what information they may have, and we will explain what options are available to help with these cases.
