Frederick Roy Hoskins

Frederick Hoskins was a former teacher and boarding master at the Anglican Church Grammar School (known as “Churchie”) in East Brisbane, Queensland. It is reported that in 2004, Mr Hoskins (aged 80 at the time) pleaded guilty in the Queensland District Court in Brisbane for sexually abusing seven boys at the School who were aged between nine and 15 years old. The abuse is alleged to have happened during the 1940s and 1950s. Subsequently, Mr Hoskins was sentenced to five years in prison but only served 16 months with the remainder of his jail term suspended.
