Father Thomas Fulcher
Father Thomas Fulcher was a member of the Marist Fathers who was ordained as a Catholic priest in July 1959. In 2018, Father Fulcher was still listed as a practising priest. Over the years, Father Fulcher has served at various parishes and schools. These include the following (amongst others):
St John’s College Woodlawn;
Our Lady Star of the Sea – Gladstone, Queensland (Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton); and
Holy Name of Mary – Hunters Hill, Sydney.
Father Fulcher served/worked at Marist College as a teacher, sports, and boarding master between 1960 and 1967. In 2018, Father Fulcher pleaded guilty at the Tasmanian Supreme Court in Burnie on three counts of indecent assault of two former students/boarders of Marist College during the 1960s. Father Fulcher was sentenced to four years in prison with a minimum non-parole period of two years.
